‘Ministers pay billions to get appointment’ comment taken out of context, says Morka

APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka said on Arise Television that Alwan Hassan’s claim that ministers pay billions of naira for appointments was not about Bola Tinubu’s current administration. Morka said Hassan was speaking in a historical context and that opposition members had taken his remarks out of context. He insisted that appointments under Tinubu are based on merit, competence and the ability to deliver, and urged Nigerians not to believe that cabinet members paid to secure their positions.
