Minority wants GH¢1 fuel levy scrapped permanently despite suspension

Ghana’s parliamentary Minority is demanding the permanent abolition of the GH¢1-per-litre fuel levy, arguing that its temporary suspension gives consumers only short-term relief. It says Nigeria must not keep borrowing without benefits for citizens facing poverty, unemployment, insecurity and declining purchasing power.
