MK Party rules out DA coalition ahead of Johannesburg elections

Ahead of the November 4 local elections, the MK Party has ruled out a coalition with the DA in Johannesburg, as other parties set out their conditions for governing South Africa’s largest city. He blames the ANC and DA for past instability and warns that competition for political posts could undermine future coalition agreements. Negotiations may focus on forming a government without the DA or on an ANC-DA arrangement similar to the national Government of National Unity.

They requested a response from INEC within 24 hours of receiving their letter.
