MKO Abiola documentary to hit Nigerian cinemas in October

A new documentary chronicling the life of Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola and the annulment of the June 12, 1993, presidential election is set to premiere in Nigerian cinemas on October 2. Titled MKO, the film, directed by Ose Oyamendan and produced by Mark Jonathan Harris, examines the political crisis following the annulment, as well as Abiola's detention and death in 1998. The documentary features testimonies from prominent figures, including former military leader Ibrahim Babangida and Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka.
