Mobile Money: COBAC examines client flows through intermediary accounts

The Central African Banking Commission (COBAC) aims to strengthen oversight of client funds that sometimes transit directly through payment institutions and aggregators' accounts within CEMAC. During the 15th annual meeting in Malabo, COBAC discussed relationships between these entities, accounting treatment, and risks associated with fund circulation. No new regulations have been announced, but the financial circuits between digital payment intermediaries are now explicitly under review.
