Mobile Money: transfers up to 8,000 FCFA free within UEMOA starting November 2

Starting November 2, 2026, the BCEAO will make domestic transfers up to 8,000 FCFA free for each user and participant, with no limit on the number of transactions, covering 75% of electronic money transactions in UEMOA. Transfers exceeding this amount may incur fees between 0% and 0.8%. The same conditions will apply to cross-border transfers within UEMOA from June 1, 2027, aiming to harmonize fees for domestic and international transactions.
