Monarchy-aligned PAM leads in Morocco election provisional results

Morocco’s monarchy-aligned Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) has won the most seats in parliament with 97 out of 395, surpassing its coalition partner, the RNI, which secured 66 seats. Voter turnout decreased to 38.02% from 50% in 2021. Since no party is expected to gain an absolute majority, a coalition government will be formed, with PAM ruling out an alliance with RNI. The election follows last year's protests led by Generation Z and as Morocco prepares to cohost the 2030 World Cup.
