Mongala: a local NGO denounces five quarters without operational funds for the province's prisons

The NGO Action des Jeunes pour le Bien-Être (AJBS) has reported the non-disbursement of operational funds to prisons in Mongala, severely impacting inmate care and prison operations. These funds, meant for food, healthcare, and general functioning, have not been sent for five quarters, approximately a year and a half. The situation has led to health and food difficulties, resulting in prisoner deaths, and the organization calls for urgent intervention from the Minister of Justice.
