Morocco: Hassan II Grand Stadium will cost more than 2.7 times more than planned!

The cost of the Hassan II Grand Stadium in Benslimane has increased from approximately 5 billion dirhams to 13.6 billion DH, more than 2.7 times the initial budget. The construction, which will host 115,000 spectators for the 2030 World Cup, is still underway with 40% progress and is scheduled for completion at the end of 2027. The project raises questions due to this significant cost increase. The construction includes multiple lots, such as the main structure, roof, seats, and external facilities.
