Morocco: In Tangier, an Artistic Journey Revives the City's Forgotten Places

In Tangier, the sixth edition of the « Being Here » project involved seven historic sites along Liberty Street, combining visual arts, music, dance, and performances to connect contemporary creation with local memory. The former Liberty Hotel, built in the early 20th century and abandoned since the 1940s, was transformed into a cultural space hosting artworks, including a piece by Sophia Alami inspired by a Moroccan tale. At Borj Kathrine, multidisciplinary artist Maxime Gralet showcased « The Loving Jars », a series of clay jars representing human fragility and exchange.
