Morocco Labor Day 2026: Minimum Wage Rises but 1.6 Million Still Out of Work

Morocco's minimum wage has reached its highest level at MAD 3,422 per month, yet it still does not cover rent. Despite the creation of 193,000 new jobs in 2025, the unemployment rate remains at 13%, leaving 1.62 million people out of work. Youth unemployment has increased to 37.2%, while women's unemployment has risen to 20.5%.
