Morocco: Ouahbi explains En-Nesyri’s surprise return: “We have to be honest with him”

Youssef En-Nesyri has returned to Morocco’s squad for the two matches against Niger on November 13 and 17, after being left out since the Africa Cup of Nations. Coach Mohamed Ouahbi said he has monitored the Al-Ittihad striker every week and that his finishing and aerial ability could prove useful against Niger. Ouahbi explained that Morocco had previously favored forwards more involved in building play, but said En-Nesyri will now have a chance to show how he fits the team’s playing model. His recall comes amid the absence of several Moroccan attackers, including Saibari, Rahimi, El Kaabi and Igamane.
