An intergovernmental agreement for the construction of a $25 billion pipeline between Morocco and Nigeria is expected to be signed by the end of the year, according to Amina Benkhadra from ONHYM. This 6,900-kilometer project aims to position Morocco as a key energy player against the Algerian trans-Saharan pipeline. Initial gas supplies are projected for 2031, and the project will be managed by a joint venture between ONHYM and NNPC, with governance involving 13 member countries.
