Morocco Reaffirms Solidarity With Mali, Observers Point to Algeria’s Shadow War

Morocco reaffirmed its unwavering solidarity with Mali during a session of the African Union Peace and Security Council, condemning the terrorist and separatist attacks that struck the country. The Moroccan delegation expressed condolences to the families of the victims and reiterated its support for Mali's sovereignty and territorial integrity. The attacks, carried out by jihadists from JNIM and Tuareg separatists, resulted in the death of the Defense Minister and led to the capture of the strategic city of Kidal.
