Morocco-Spain: NATO Chooses Its Side in Case of Hybrid War in Ceuta

Javier Colomina, NATO's special representative, stated that the alliance would support Spain if Madrid invoked Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty in the event of hybrid warfare in Ceuta. He emphasized that the massive arrival of 72,000 migrants to Ceuta in late July could be linked to a planned operation, although this does not officially qualify as hybrid warfare. The decision to invoke Article 5 rests with Madrid first, and NATO's support is not automatic.
