Mota-Engil gets USD 62.6 million from Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency for the Lobito Corridor

The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) has issued guarantees of USD 62.6 million to Portuguese company Mota-Engil to modernize Angola's Lobito railway corridor. This project, spanning 1,300 kilometers, aims to create over 1,600 jobs, with 97% to be filled by Angolan nationals. The corridor will facilitate the transport of essential minerals like copper and cobalt to international markets, thereby supporting the global energy transition.
