Motion of no confidence filed against Muhindo Nzangi over alleged misappropriation of $57 million

National deputy Hermione Bolumbe Bakando filed a motion of no confidence on October 23 against Minister of State Muhindo Nzangi Butondo, accusing him of the alleged misappropriation of $57 million allocated to the Youth Entrepreneurship in Agriculture and Agribusiness Project (PEJAB), supported by the African Development Bank. The motion followed an oral question and debate on October 21, when she questioned the project’s results; its deadline had been December 2025. Nzangi said the funds remained available, disbursements were continuing, and more than 1,000 young people had already received financing. Bolumbe Bakando said his answers were inadequate.
