Motorists protested outside the NNPC mega station in Minna, Niger State, over a three-month shortage of compressed natural gas (CNG). A faulty component in the dispensing machine has reportedly gone unrepaired, forcing drivers who converted their vehicles to rely on more expensive petrol. Engr. Israel Ogbonnaya and Mohammed Doko Saidu criticized officials’ silence and the costs of converting their vehicles, which in some cases exceeded one million naira. The protest was peaceful, and demonstrators called for an urgent restoration of supply, warning they could protest again.
