MPs Approve Bill Requiring Dedicated Lanes for Cyclists, Pedestrians

Kenyan lawmakers have approved a bill requiring dedicated lanes for cyclists and pedestrians. The bill, sponsored by Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda, aims to enhance road safety by incorporating infrastructure for non-motorized transport into road design and construction. Road authorities will now be required to design and construct dedicated facilities for cyclists and pedestrians, separated from motorized transport tracks.
