MRC Convention: RDPC official believes event will take place "unless last-minute catastrophe"

Less than a week before the MRC's extraordinary convention, Edmond Biloa, a member of the RDPC, expressed confidence that the event will take place, stating the ruling party has no reason to fear the opposition's meeting. He noted that the MRC previously held a successful convention at the Palais des Congrès and expects no issues unless a last-minute catastrophe occurs. Despite this, legal challenges have been filed against the validity of the meeting’s authorization, and tensions remain high as internal campaigns for Maurice Kamto’s successor continue, with the verdict expected on October 17.
