Music: Roseline Layo joins the ranks of Africa’s divas

On October 15, 2026, at the Majestic cinema in Abidjan’s Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, Roseline Layo previewed the 11 tracks on her album “Divas,” due for release on November 27. The project brings together established artists including Angélique Kidjo, Oumou Sangaré, Fatoumata Diawara, Reine Pélagie and Aïcha Koné, alongside Kany, Mia Guissé and Djelykaba Bintou. A documentary screened at the event traced the singer’s journey from her childhood in Man to her ambition to unite generations and African musical cultures. Culture Minister Françoise Remarck, Interior and Security Minister Vagondo Diomandé, A’Salfo and Robert Brazza were among those attending.
