N2.3 Trillion Campaign Claim: Kaduna Government Says Fabricated Letter Is Part of Disinformation Campaign Against Governor Sani

The Kaduna State Government denied a letter circulating on social media that claims Governor Uba Sani released 2.3 trillion naira for the launch of the APC’s 2027 presidential campaign. Information and Culture Commissioner Ahmed Maiyaki called the document, dated October 18, 2026, a fabrication and noted that Kaduna’s entire 2026 budget is 985.92 billion naira. He cited inconsistencies, including a misspelling of the governor’s name and the apparent unauthorised reproduction of his signature, and said no money was approved or released for the event. Maiyaki described the claim as a disinformation attempt intended to damage the governor’s reputation and that of his administration.
