Four dead, seven injured in Lagos accidents

Four adult men died and six others were injured when a truck carrying a 20-foot container overturned onto a Toyota Hiace bus at Berger Bridge on the Ibeju-Lekki Expressway in Lagos. LASEMA Permanent Secretary Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu said the truck was speeding up the bridge and its driver lost control while trying to avoid the bus. Two other truck accidents were reported in Agege and Igando: no one was injured in Agege, while a Toyota Corolla driver sustained a minor head injury in Igando. Emergency teams secured the scenes, assisted the injured and deployed traffic management measures.
