Naira now N1,398 /$ in parallel market

The naira depreciated to N1,398 per dollar in the parallel market from N1,385 on Tuesday. It however appreciated to N1,360 per dollar in the official Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market. The spread between the two markets widened to N38 per dollar. Interbank forex turnover declined by 26.2% to $133.73 million.

A life-sized horse sculpture made of flowers captivated visitors at IFTEX in Nairobi. Built by Kenyan exporter Ole Engai Growers, it was crafted from gypsophila and other blooms to celebrate the Chinese Lunar Year of the Horse. The family-run business, operating on 29 hectares in Eldoret, exports premium cut flowers and won a Silver Award for Design Excellence.
