The Ministry of Health and Social Services announced the arrival and distribution of 37 critically needed medicines between 18 May and 4 June 2026. Executive director Penda Ithindi stated that these medicines, including treatments for hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, epilepsy and other chronic conditions, have been distributed into the national supply chain for use at hospitals and clinics. Additional deliveries are expected in the coming weeks as part of a transparency initiative launched in May.
