Namibia: Shikongo Defends 'Strategic' Shake Up

Inspector General of the Namibian Police, Joseph Shikongo, clarified that the recent reshuffle of senior officers is a strategic move aimed at strengthening the police force and improving service delivery. Commissioner Julia Sakua has been appointed as the new regional commander for Zambezi, while other commissioners have also been reassigned. Shikongo denied rumors of demotion, stating that the changes were based on operational needs and that affected officers were consulted prior to the transfers.
