NARD threatens indefinite strike at LUTH over call meal dispute

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has threatened an indefinite strike at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) if the hospital management does not restore call meals for resident doctors. In a statement signed by its President, Dr. Mohammad Usman Suleiman, and other officials, the association accused the management of ignoring a formal ultimatum issued on June 8, 2026. The resolution from the May Ordinary General Meeting in Kano gave LUTH three weeks from June 6 to restore the meals. NARD described the refusal as insensitive and unacceptable, harming doctors' morale and productivity.
