NASA tells ISS astronauts to ready for possible evacuation amid leak repair

NASA has ordered ISS astronauts to prepare for possible evacuation as Russian crew repairs worsening air leaks on the Zvezda service module. The order applies to four Crew-12 astronauts, including two US, one French, and one Russian astronaut, who must take shelter in the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft. Roscosmos is conducting the repair on June 5, 2026. Seven astronauts are currently aboard the station.
