Nasarawa govt closes Lafia Tomato Market over poor sanitation

The Nasarawa State Government has closed the Lafia Tomato Market for two days due to concerns over unsanitary practices. Commissioner for Environment, Princess Margaret Elayo, highlighted that displaying perishable food items directly on the ground could facilitate the spread of waterborne diseases. She also inspected a cassava processing factory and raised concerns about air pollution in the area.
