National Assembly: A Major Change Initiated for Passports

Senegalese deputies have asked the Minister of the Interior, Makhtar Cissé, to extend the validity of passports to ten years. The minister expressed tentative support, noting that this could raise the cost due to stricter technical and security requirements. He suggested offering longer-validity passports at adjusted prices for frequent travelers such as businesspeople and the diaspora, aiming to ease procedures and reduce costs for citizens.
