National Assembly evaluates state of siege in Ituri and North Kivu

The National Assembly began on Tuesday, June 2 in Kinshasa the evaluation of the state of siege established in Ituri and North Kivu provinces five years ago. The ministers of Defense, Interior, Justice, and Social Affairs presented reports on security, public freedoms, and judicial organization. Deputies also examined the measure's effects on living conditions. A follow-up meeting is planned for Friday to further discuss government responses.
