Ange Martial Nohonain, secretary general of Syna-culture and spokesperson for Cosymis-Prime, issued a press release on July 16, 2026, demanding a quarterly bonus for approximately 3,000 employees of the Ministry of Culture and Francophonie. These employees, including cultural professionals, arts teachers, and support staff, have some of the lowest salaries in the civil service and work under challenging conditions, including late hours and weekends. The demand, initially submitted to the Minister of Culture in July 2019, aims to establish an internal bonus to compensate for these working conditions.
