President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi announced the convening of a national dialogue for peace, cohesion, and the rebuilding of the state during his address to the Nation on August 27, 2026. This initiative, designed by Congolese people, aims to defend the superior interests of the Nation and bring together different components of the country. Tshisekedi emphasized that this dialogue will not undermine the sovereign choice of the people and will not lead to the suspension of the Republic's institutions.
