NATO Allies Refuse to Join Trump’s Iran Blockade Plan

Several NATO members, including the UK and France, declined to participate in Donald Trump's proposed blockade of Iranian ports, following his announcement that negotiations with Iran had failed. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that the UK would not support the blockade and instead announced a summit with France to develop an independent multinational plan for safeguarding navigation. French President Emmanuel Macron also proposed a separate defensive mission to restore safe navigation in the Strait of Hormuz after hostilities end.
