NCAA grounds aircraft for unauthorized departure after missed approach in Asaba

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended the permit and grounded a private aircraft that conducted a missed approach at Asaba Airport, landing on a concrete road under construction in Ogwashi-Uku. The aircraft later departed without regulatory approval and returned to Lagos. Minister Festus Keyamo described the incident as a significant violation of aviation regulations. The NCAA is investigating and has also suspended the operator's Permit for Non-Commercial Flight.
