NDC begins reconciliation, denies candidate imposition after nationwide primaries

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has begun a reconciliation process to heal rifts after its controversial presidential, National Assembly, governorship, and state assembly primaries. National Secretary Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu denied allegations of irregularities and candidate imposition, calling them ignorance and mischief. The party claimed it used a consensus-building approach, especially in the South-East, where caucus leaders like Chief Onyema Ugochukwu and former governors coordinated recommendations. Dissenting aspirants were free to contest at the grassroots level.
