NDC denies illegal payments, favouritism in candidate selection

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) denied allegations of illegal payments and favoritism in its candidate selection process for the 2027 general elections. In a statement, the party claimed that financial contributions were managed transparently and that presidential and vice-presidential tickets were offered free of charge. The NDC also announced it was considering legal action against those spreading what it deemed defamatory allegations.
