Ndindi Nyoro Urges Education Ministry to Review School Calendar Amid Rising School Unrest

Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro urged the Ministry of Education to review the school calendar, particularly the second term which he says is too long and demanding. He proposed introducing two mid-term breaks to ease pressure on students. His call comes amid rising unrest and indefinite closures of several schools, including a deadly dormitory fire at Utumishi Girls' that killed 16 students. Basic Education Principal Secretary Julius Bito ruled out shortening the term, stating that learning continues uninterrupted.
