NDLEA arrest 5 suspects with 7,245kg of illicit drugs worth N724.5milli hidden in cartons of beer in Edo

Operatives of the Edo State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepted 7,245 kilograms of skunk cannabis, valued at N724.5 million, hidden in beer cartons. Five suspects, all from Etsako East and Etsako West local government areas, were arrested. This seizure, which occurred on April 11, 2026, marks the first time two trucks laden with illicit drugs were intercepted simultaneously in the state.
