The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) warned Nigerians not to accept parcels or luggage for delivery after drugs were found hidden in a keg of palm oil bound for Saudi Arabia. Femi Babafemi, the agency’s director of media and advocacy, said on X that a woman travelling to Saudi Arabia had been intercepted at the airport, where officers discovered the illicit substances. He warned that she could have faced severe consequences if Saudi authorities had found the drugs and urged travellers to put their safety and freedom ahead of concerns about offending people who ask them to carry packages.
