NDLEA uncovers illicit drug consignments in water purifying machines from Europe

NDLEA operatives on May 26, 2026 intercepted drug consignments concealed in water purifier machines shipped from the Netherlands to Lagos. Seized items include three kilograms of ketamine and 199 grams of MDMA. In Kaduna State, a couple, Musa Sunday and Mercy Sunday, and another suspect, Salomi Ezekiel, were arrested with 1,246 kilograms of skunk. Other seizures occurred in Niger and Enugu states, including ammunition and pharmaceuticals.
