NEC endorses 90-day action plan to ease cost of living for Nigerians

Nigeria’s National Economic Council approved a 90-day action plan presented by Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele at its 161st meeting, chaired virtually by Vice President Kashim Shettima. The Council also approved a national dashboard to track projects and the use of revenue from fuel subsidy removal. Shettima urged governors to turn reforms into jobs, affordable transport and better healthcare, while Oyedele identified single-digit inflation and interest rates by 2027 as policy goals.
