Need for speedy reconstruction of police barracks

Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu's recent inspection of police barracks under reconstruction in Lagos revealed deplorable living conditions due to decades of neglect. While 1,000 housing units are expected to be delivered by February 2027, the issue extends nationwide, with many officers living in unhealthy conditions. The Federal Government must therefore prioritize police housing as a national security issue.
