Nepal flood death toll rises to 734 - disaster authority

Devastating floods near the border with China have killed at least 734 people in Nepal, with 2,498 still missing, according to the disaster authority. The overall toll, including victims in China, stands at 750 dead and 3,044 missing. Among the missing in Nepal are 589 foreigners and 933 workers on hydropower projects. Rescue teams have successfully saved 8,186 people, including 227 foreigners.
