New attack on a vehicle convoy in Virunga Park: 2 dead

A public transport vehicle convoy was attacked on Saturday, April 4, by highway robbers in the Busendo area of Virunga National Park, resulting in the deaths of two passengers. The attack occurred during an ambush by unidentified armed men, who also injured a driver and kidnapped several passengers. Local populations are expressing concern over the resurgence of insecurity on this national road connecting the small north and the greater North Kivu.
