New Ebola Vaccine Trials start in the Democratic Republic of Congo

The World Health Organization has allocated over 20,000 doses of the Ervebo vaccine for a research vaccination program in Ituri province. The trial aims to assess the vaccine's effectiveness against the Bundibugyo Ebola virus, which continues to spread. More than 7,600 confirmed cases of infection have been reported, with over 3,670 deaths, the majority of infections occurring in Ituri.
