New Zealand, US tourists biggest daily spenders in Kenya - Business Daily

A survey by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) shows that in June 2025, tourists from New Zealand spent an average of 78,095 Sh per day in Kenya, followed by those from the US with 60,141 Sh, and Australia with 48,230 Sh. Tourists from the East African Community (EAC) region were the lowest spenders at 7,130 Sh. These figures highlight that tourists from New Zealand, the US, and Canada are the biggest daily spenders in Kenya, contributing significantly to the country's tourism economy.
