NFF hails Iwobi for record Premier League appearances

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) congratulated Alex Iwobi after he reached 328 Premier League appearances. The Fulham midfielder is now joint second with Mohamed Salah among African players with the most appearances in the league, following his team’s 1-0 win over Coventry City. Acting NFF General Secretary Emmanuel Ikpeme said the federation hopes Iwobi will claim the African record. Iwobi is now chasing the 353 appearances made by former Ivory Coast international Kolo Touré for Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool.
