NFSS deploys personnel after suspected rabid dogs bite 18 in Kano

The Nigerian Forest Security Service (NFSS) has deployed personnel to Garko Local Government Area in Kano State after 18 residents were injured by suspected rabid dogs. The NFSS commander, Abdullahi Al’ameen, reported that one infected dog had bitten 11 people in Garko before moving to neighboring communities, where it attacked 7 more residents. Two additional dogs suspected of rabies were also reported, prompting urgent containment efforts. NFSS personnel are tracking the dogs, and residents are urged to report sightings and seek medical attention if bitten.
