N'Gokro: After tensions, the state calls a consultation to choose the village chief

Dohogninnina Yéo, the sub-prefect of Yamoussoukro, has called N'Gokro’s community representatives to a popular consultation on November 11, 2026, at 9 a.m. at the Alliance franco-ivoirienne. The royal family, lineage and family heads, and representatives of the mutual association, village professionals, women and young people are invited. The move follows a lengthy deadlock and tensions over the selection of the village chief. The state aims to provide a lawful, peaceful process and encourage reconciliation within the community.
